I commend you and all involved in such an important mission. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom who is very active in my community, I was a journalist for 12 years. Throughout much of my career I covered both the education beat and crime and public safety for daily newspapers such as the Oregonian, Seattle Times and various San Francisco Bay Area papers. I remember opening the top drawer of my desk at work one day only to realize I had accumulated too many photos of murdered or missing children. I have interviewed many families who have suffered from this loss and do not wish it upon anyone. I have to admit my experiences made me quite paranoid about the concerns regarding child abduction, rape, torture and all other unfathomable things people might do to any child. Although honestly, because of my experiences I truly believe folks can never be too careful these days. That is why this project hits close to my heart. Again my sincerest congratulations and gratitude to everyone who conceived, participated and are still involved with your Just Yell Fire project.

I have watched the DVD and I think you have done a great and creative job. I think it will be quite valuable to young girls. I have 6 grand-daughters and I am very much concerned for their safety. I think your work is a great step forward in helping to keep young women safe. Also I really think your statements as to worth and self-esteem as well as "rights" was an added touch of tremendous importance. Thanks again.

Hi there! I can't believe your story about how this film got started. But it's amazing. Congratulations on your successful journey, and by helping so many teen girls. But not only are you guys helping out young teen girls, you are helping out adult women. I myself, like so many others have been victimized by sexual assault. The ones who hurt me were never charged. I have two little girls, ages 3 and 8 months, and of course they are so young, I want them to have the opportunity to be able to protect themselves as they grow into adults. By having this video I will be able to help protect them, my nieces, and also my sisters and any other woman I have in my family and friends. I seen you guys on Montel today, and I cried, and cried. It's amazing what you can do if you really want to promote change. I'm so proud of you both, being a mother like I said, I pray to God each and every second that my girls will be just like you guys. Wanting to change things for the better.

My heart goes out to you and your crew for what you all have done.
Thank you again, but remember one thing that I tell my friends who have been hurt... You are NOT a victim, you ARE a survivor inside and out.

With love always, and forever!

Last night I was reading People magazine and saw the article about giving girls the power to fight back. I visited the website, justyellfire.com and watched the movie. I proceeded to forward the website link to many friends and family in hopes that word will continue to spread about this amazing video.

I am incredibly impressed with Dallas and Catherine, their families and everyone who participated in putting together the movie and website. I am absolutely convinced that many lives will be saved and many potential rapes will be stopped. I am trying to teach my children that each person should live their lives such that they are contributing something of value to their family, their community and humanity. When we pass from the screen of life, we should be able to look back and know that we made a difference. Well, Dallas and Catherine have already done so, before they have even graduated high school! They are to be congratulated for being such wonderful role models.

Please let them know that I, as a mother, am so grateful for the work they have done, and the tools they have provided to my 3 children to help protect themselves. If I could keep them safe every moment of every day, I would do so in a heartbeat. Of course, that is not possible and so they need to know how to help themselves. Again, thank you so very much.

I'm a retired Police Officer and know full well the unfortunate dangers that are out there in our society today. Thank you for taking the time and effort to put this video together, you are a credit to your generation.

I loved your project.

It resonated.

I teach martial arts and care about the students.

Thank you for your vision.

I was so impressed with the Just Yell Fire video that a few weeks ago I brought it to the attention of one of the guidance counselors at our local high school, Hinsdale Central High School, Hinsdale, Illinois. I got word from him today that he had shared the video with the school's physical education and health teachers. They thought it was great and they have decided to use it in their classes.

What a wonderful job the girls did, creating a video targeted toward girls and how to protect themselves in uncomfortable and/or dangerous situations....There can never be too much said about this issue......and for boys too....expecially during today's day and age. The world is definately not as safe as it used to be, and BRAVO to the girls who made the movie 'Just Yell Fire' and their efforts to help keep others safe. I just happen to be home from work today to see the Montel show.

Thanks for a great class.

Hey Maggie,

I just wanted to shoot you a quick e-mail and tell you what a great job Chad did with the training in San Diego. I felt the class was laid out nicely and Chad's easy going personality made it feel like you could ask him anything. The class had lots of good information and it has inspired me to really push to get this program in use at my school. I really enjoyed the training and am looking forward to spreading the program in my area. Chad did a great job and he has made it clear that he is willing to help in anyway he can. I thought of a question a couple days after the training and sent him a quick message on Facebook and he sent me a response almost immediately. I am very pleased to be a part of Just Yell Fire and I will keep you posted on my progress in regards to getting it put into the Physical Education curriculum at my school. Hope your week is going well.

Thanks for a great class.

I saw this video advertised in the In Touch magazine. What a wonderful idea.

I work in a junior high school with behaviour disorder kids, needless to say these girls don't live in the safest neighbourhoods. Although abductions happen everywhere, I worry that these girls I work with are at an increased risk of abduction, assault, etc.

Kudos to the ladies who thought of this, they are remarkable.
