I attended the 2009 International Student Leadership Conference, at which Dallas Jessup spoke to everyone and then conducted a workshop to teach us how to defend ourselves, which I also attended. Since her speech, I have become increasingly passionate in the fight against domestic violence. I have helped with projects and fundraisers for the past two years, and this year, I am trying to start a club at my school that focuses on raising awareness and raising money to help fight against domestic violence. I was wondering if there would be any possible way that Dallas Jessup could come and speak to our school briefly about the warning signs of a dangerous situation, and how to defend ourselves if ever caught in one. Also to talk about how she has changed the world with her film and book, and anything else she wishes to speak to the student body about. I am sure that our school would be honored to have her speak to us.

"Thanks so much to Chad and Just Yell Fire for their great training session. I really enjoyed the course and believe the course will really benefit our young women in the community. The concepts are easy to remember. I look forward to passing on the techniques I learned."

I'm a high school graduate going into college. I'm so proud of your work and effort to help girls respond in a way to attacks that will save their lives and keep them safe.

I've shared your website with most of my friends and they love what you've done for girls all over the nation. I would love to receive a DVD of your movie so I can share it with more of my friends and also so I can always remember how to keep myself prepared in case of an attack.

I just want to say thank you again, you've been an inspiration to girls everywhere that we are not victims, we are strong and we have the right to be safe and comfortable in our environment. Thank you so much!

As a former Police Officer and having approximately twelve years in security and law enforcement; I applaud your organizations efforts to teach girls and young women how to defend themselves against predators.

Dear Maggie, I just wanted to thank you so much for making this available to everyone and free no less. I am a 37 year old Mom of 5. In 2004 when my last child was 4 days old I noticed a neighbor girl riding her bike outside my home in a small community in Illinois. She stopped to take a drink of her water and I saw a man get out of his car and try to take her off her bike. I knew this little girl who was 8 at the time for most of her life, and I knew I didn't know this man. I ran outside yelling and he fled. By God's grace I happened to look over and got his licence plate number. Unfortunately he left my home and 45 min. later (presumably) kidnapped and raped a 13 year old. He then was caught the next day and is still in jail awaiting a trial. My point is this 8 year old is always very assure of herself, but when this happened she didn't even yell, and having 3 girls of my own, I need them to know how to be prepared. I have lived in my community all my life and never thought that this would happen here but it did, and I was very comfortable in thinking that. Thank you for caring about our children, and helping everyone feel like they don't have to be a victim, but to be secure in knowing that they can be prepared and protect themselves if need be.

Hi, I am a Law Enforcement student in southern Minnesota. I would love to have information on how I can get a hold of this DVD for the schools in my area. Fabulous job. I have informed all of my online friends and my home town friends about your site for further information. I would like to take the DVD to the local schools. Thank you.

What an awsome service to our young women your daughter and her friend has done. I heard you on The Clark Howard show this evening on my way back to work and wanted to let you know (as if you didn't already know) what a truly wonderful daughter you have. I would love to show this dvd to my youth group and their parents at my church. May God continue to bless your daughter in her road to saving the young women of our world.

Thanks

How proud you must be of your daughter and her friend for their efforts at creating such a fantastic film. A friend loaned me the DVD and I watched it with my 14 year old daughter last night. VERY POWERFUL!!! My daughter was on the verge of tears during the date rape scene, as my niece, her cousin, was in a similar situation and was unfortunately not prepared.

I would love to have a copy to share with my daughters campfire troop and would also like to review it over and over so that both my daughters are prepared in such an attack situation.

Thank you again for making the film available to everyone. It is invaluable information for our daughters!

With Appreciation

So pleased to know you and your work

This is a comment sent in to our trainers Leila Rae Sommerfeld and Valerie Mainridge of Gresham, OR

Thank you again from our entire team! You and Valerie did such a fabulous job. Several of our volunteers commented at the end that your traiing was the best self-defense class they had ever taken - and several had attended classes in the past. you adapted your presentation to fit perfectly into our time constraints and skill level. You and Valerie brought such great energy and enthusiasm to our class. We especially appreciate you taking time on a Sunday. We feel empowered to continue to advocate for sexually exploited women in and around Portland.

We are so pleased to know you and your work. I hope this is only the beginning of our partnership.

I am the mother of 2 (1 girl, 1 boy) and I just saw the Montel Williams show & learned about your movie. I was moved to tears. You should be very proud of yourselves! You are great examples of the kind of young people we need in the world today, if there were more people like you the world would be a better place and your movie might not be so necessary, but unfortunately it is. You are an inspiration to people of all ages and are providing a life saving service. God Bless You!!!
